維他命C是膠原蛋白在體內合成與安定不可或缺的元素，當維生素C不足時，酵素無法充分地反應，影響膠原蛋白的合成，使肌膚喪失彈性。
維他命C能調節麥拉寧色素的作用，防止斑的形成。更針對已形成的斑點作用，將黑色麥拉寧色素還原至無色麥拉寧，讓斑點變淡。此外，還有去除活性氧的作用，防止肌膚老化與黯沉。
